About Zlarin and nearby areas

Zlarin is a small island of the Dalmatian coast of Croatia near the city of Šibenik. Administratively, it is part of the Šibenik-Knin County. In winter times the island has a population of 276 people, but from March to October its population grows substantially up to 1,500 people.

The port is located in the natural bay in the north-western part of the island of Zlarin. It is naturally protected from most winds, with the exception of winds blowing from the west and northwest. This port has more landing quays and quaysides with berths for smaller boats than any other.

The port has 375 m of stone and concrete quay with berths for smaller boats. At the entrance of the bay, at the head of the largest landing quay, stands a SOLAR-POWERED beacon ( Red flash 0,5 + 2,5 sec. 3 NM ).

  • North side – has berths for passenger boats (from the head of the wharf to the middle), and berths for excursion boats (from the middle of the wharf to the base).
  • South side – has berths for powerboats, yachts, excursion and fishing boats and small crafts.
